Latin Exlorations, June 2014.

Here are some of my new work I'm showing at "Latin Explorations"  a group exhibition curated by Pablo Aravena at Yves Laroche Gallery in Montreal.
It features the recent work of the artists; Herbert Baglione (Brasil), Nunca (Brasil), Sixe Paredes (Espana), Franco Jaz (Argentina) and myself (Chile/NY).
I also had the fortune to attend the opening on thursday night and then I had an artist talk at the galley on saturday. Meanwhile all this was happening, I was also working on a small mural outside the prestigious frame shop Encadrex.
Everything was a pretty good turn out and I came back to NY more motivated than ever. I hope to come back soon and thanks to all the people that worked for this to happend. Special shout out: Yves, Lui, Jose, Alexis, Pablo, and the super star painters that work for this...Enjoy the pics...

La Tour Paris 13

La Tour Paris 13 is an art project created by Itinerrance Gallery's owner Medhi Ben Cheikh in collaboration with the city. It's an empty building transformed into a art gallery for just a short period of time before it gets demolished. My piece was one of the last ones to be done due to my tight schedule this year, therefore I'm not include in all the press information release, but I'm in building and I'm proud of my piece. There's also an app so people can tour the whole project and see all the art from overseas www.tourparis13.fr/.
My piece is called "La Cage" and I wanted to transform this small white room (8' x 12') into a visual Cage/Cell, where the only open space is the window, but is filled with tags and graffiti by myself and my fellow parisian friend Supe.

"Sostain L'utopia" a fanzine catalog.

"Sostain L'utopia" was my last project/piece from 2012. It is my first homemade publication created with images of paintings and photographs of my work, beside original silkscreened pages printed by me.
The idea behind this book, was to create a zine catalog as an art piece itself. The book has images of different views from my approach to the idea of utopia and how important is for me to not give up the dream of accomplish happiness and self stability. The title means Sustain the utopia (Sostiene la utopia) and it's a mixed up phrase written in english, spanish and french.
The book is made by Inkjet printing (color & black/white) and printmaking pages. This is a limited edition of 100 copies only, numbered and signed.
For the ones interested, there are still copies available if you want to get yours. Price is $50 (include handling and shipping).
